Antique French Gilt Ormolu Photo Frame with Easel Back, 8x6inches

An exquisite antique gilt metal portrait frame dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, featuring beautifully detailed floral garlands, scrolling ornamentation, and an elaborate crest.

The frame is crowned with a raised oval cartouche surrounded by roses and sweeping foliate details, with delicate floral swags draped across the top. Its warm, timeworn gilding has developed a wonderfully rich patina, giving the piece the unmistakable character of an old European interior.

The original-style easel back allows it to stand beautifully on a vanity, mantel, bedside table, or layered among collected objects. The back retains its aged fabric covering, metal support, and chain. Please note that the stopper on the back has fallen off, but is easy to replace. The frame still stands upright without issue.
